this is a young man named jeff bowman. jeff bowman is 27 years ago old. last monday jeff traveled down to boston so he could watch his girlfriend erin run in the boston marathon. a little before 3:00 p.m., jeff made his way to the finish line on boylston street to watch erin finish the race and then, of course, all hell broke loose. jeff bowman was right there. the bomb had been essentially placed right at his feet. just moments after the explosion, an a.p. photographer captured an image of jeff that's really graphic but turned out to be one of the most iconic images of that day, we have blurred the image a bit, but suffice to say, the image clearly shows jeff lost both of his legs in the blast. after being rushed to the hospital to undergo emergency surgery to save his life, jeff had a request when he finally woke up still under sedation from all the medication from the surgery. this is what his brother told bloomberg news, he woke up under so much drugs, he asked for a paper and pen and he wrote bag, saw the guy, looked right at me. from his hospital be
